Sudden Cardiac Death
Here are some things to consider doing. Some items may not be applicable to you.
Claims approx. 400,000 lives every year
Caused by a heart abnormality called Long QT Syndrome
Prevention of sudden cardiac death:
- it is very preventable (with beta blocker medication) once diagnosed
- See a cardiologist
- Have a electrocardiogram (EKG) conducted
- Have a blood test to determine if you have Long QT Syndrome
- Look for symptoms such as:
- Fainting
- Dizziness
- Rapid or irregular heartbeat
