Dust Mites

Here are some things to consider doing. Some items may not be applicable to you.

Dust mites cannot be effectively controlled with air cleaners because they’re too small and they’re very seldom airborne

To get rid of dust mites:

• Put impermeable covers on mattresses and pillows
• Vacuum often using special vacuum cleaner bags which prevent dust mite droppings from being thrown into the air
• Consider getting rid of your carpets

If it’s humid in your area:

• Use a dehumidifier
