If considering buying an air purifier:

  • Be aware that:
    • The American Lung Association has suggested that ozone generators not be used in the home
    • At least one court recommended that ozone generators not be used when humans are present
    • Some people have complained of discomfort shortly after being exposed to an operating ozone generator
    • There appears to be no proof that ozone generators relieve allergies or asthma
    • Exposure to ozone may cause inflammation of your respiratory system
    • Ozone in high concentrations can be dangerous
