Here are some things to consider doing. Some items may not be applicable to you.

Ensure you will have adequate access to, and contact with, your child
Ensure adequate medical assistance is available
Check that the company is licensed
Check staff’s qualifications
Determine staff’s policies regarding discipline e.g., withholding water, food, etc.
Determine what staff would do if your child was perceived to be faking an inability to keep up with the group
