Toy Boxes
Here are some things to consider doing. Some items may not be applicable to you.
Buying a toy box/chest:
- Ensure it doesn’t have a hinged, free-falling lid so it can’t fall on or trap a child’s neck or head
- Look for a toy box with a lid which is supported in any position in which it is placed
- Ensure a child can’t get trapped inside
- Ensure there are air holes in the event a child gets trapped inside
If you have a toy box/chest:
If the toy box/chest has a hinged, free-falling lid:
- Remove the lid completely
