If you want to complain:

  • Keep your cool
  • Take notes, e.g., who you talk to, when you talk to them, what they say
  • Do research
  • Write a detailed, calm letter to someone high up in the responsible company or organization

When someone says they can’t help you:

  • Politely thank them for their help
  • Ask who above them (e.g., a manager) you can talk to try to solve the problem
